wait 跟 await 的分別

雖然它們都解作「等候」、「期待」，但用法上有一定的分別。

wait 通常後面跟 for/to/until，再接一個人或一件物件。

Example: We are waiting for our baby.
He will wait to get the latest news from TV.
Students waited in the classroom until the rain stopped.

await 後面直接跟名詞，而且該名詞通常較抽象。

Example: They are awaiting your decision.
Lucy has awaited the government's reply for a year.
The winners is awaiting the official announcement.
